Vision
From the time that my life was touched by Yeshua, a dream began to grow of how I could help to make this world a better place. Vague at first, it became more concrete as time went on so that now it has very fixed and definite goals. Since doTERRA lines up well with a number my own significant aspirations, I decided to begin making it all real with them.
​
Since my own intent is to make a positive social impact, a positive climate change impact and put a meaningful dent in global poverty among other things, doTERRA's co-impact sourcing was a huge draw for me, but I needed to be able to take care of myself in the process. They had an answer for that too by providing a health and wellness system along with top quality products to support my efforts so that by improving my own health and lifestyle, I am also doing that for others in so many ways.
Partnering in Vision
I have to say that I felt really alone and isolated with my vision until I met up with doTERRA. Their reputation went before them. Responsible capitalism was first and then the fact that they stick with their reps to be sure they get what they need to start their businesses, were the things that caused curiosity. When I finally met up with a rep I was signed up before I knew it.

Immediately it was clear that they were living up to the attestations. Weekly group team meetings and other training opportunities have provided ongoing chances to learn tips, tricks and experiences of others while access to tools of the trade were immediately made available to me. Right away I learned of various volunteering initiatives that other reps engage in to address a variety of concerns related to the root causes of poverty with a global perspective.
Co-impact sourcing is a key component of their strategy. Their primary product, essential oils come primarily from areas where poverty is endemic. By partnering with the producers to implement sustainable farming practices and then ensuring a guaranteed buyer for the unbeatable quality end products, families and their communities are empowered to raise their standard of living in significant ways. At the same time destructive practices such as over harvesting and flagrant use of harmful chemicals are displaced by methods that protect purity respect the environment and can be sustained in the long term.

Finally, my own medical background presented me with massive challenges when the health crisis that turned my life around led into natural health care. I felt lost among a dizzying array of supplements I knew little or nothing about, while conventional medicine proved all too often to be at odds with wholistic practices. That seemingly irreconcilable dilemma found a peace maker in doTERRA. Recognition of a signfigant root problem being communication led to the visionary standardization approach to their unique top quality essential oil products. A supplementation system designed to work in tandem, be safe, affordable and effective overcame newbie bewilderment. Then to top it off, household products which are chemical free, and increasingly environmentally respectful have made it easy to shift away from a toxic lifestyle to one that is

Where Lifestyle Change Began for Me?
Revelation 3:20 -- Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice , and open the door, I will come into him and sup with him and he with Me.
For my own part, the beginnings of lifestyle change were more inside than out. I thought I was in control until I was forced to recognize that life was out of control. I had loads of problems without solutions and turned mainly to fantasy literature to escape the here and now.

Yeshua has a way of sneaking up on you though, in the sweetest way. Like the epitome of gentlemen, He simply won't intrude where He isn't welcome. Nonetheless, He is waiting and ready to help the moment the call goes out.
The idea of God was a lot like Santa Clause to my mind, not real, just a make believe narrative that goes along with Christmas. So I dismissed it when I first heard His voice. True to form, I was reading the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, really just a set of children's fairy tales (fantasy literature), or so I thought.
The character of Aslan, a big lion would pop into the story at the most unexpected and yet strategic times and at those times, everything changed. Fuzzy, loveable, wonderful and yet clearly to be regarded with a great deal of respect, I found Him sufficiently compelling that I put the book down and cried, "Oh, Aslan, I wish you were in our world." I thought I imagined it when the reply came, "I am, you just know me by another name."

Though I didn't pay attention, it caused me to start thinking about Yeshua, reflecting on memories from a happier time when religion played a role, forgotten because it seemed so pointless. The year was 1978 and it had become fashionable to go to prayer meetings, so I decided to do the same. For lack of anything better to do at a prayer meeting, I prayed, "God, if you are real, please give me what it takes to live life."

I left that evening thinking I prayed to the low hanging panel ceiling in the church basement. Things went oddly well as that week progressed, and the next until it became clear that something changed in a powerful way. I felt safe, somehow protected but never even a little bit scared until I acknowledged that obviously someone or something inhabited my home with me.
​
Yes, a bone fide ghost moved in, but not just any ole' ghost, the Holy Ghost who heard that prayer I believed to be so futile, and answered. Unaware at the time that I was beginning a journey, the seeds of a dream began to grow in my heart. 30 years later, doTERRA was just getting started and a dozen years more before I connected with them. Lots happened in between to shape that dream and the lifestyle change that went with it.

Discovery
The tiny bottles caught my eye as I waited at the service desk in 1998, curiosity led me to learn more. Information about essential oils was not easy to find back then, but what I did find pointed to lifestyle change.​
​
Feminine problems like cystic ovaries and breasts were common in our family, so when I read that cypress essential oil might help, along with cutting down on caffeine and improving my diet, hope took root.​
Nutraceuticals were also making a debut just then. When my husband mentioned hearing about gummy bears helping hyperactive kids on the evening news, I immediately began to look for them. When it proved to be true over the following months, I began attending sessions with the company that produced them gaining much greater understanding about the impact of nutrition and lifestyle.
​
That chapter seemed to be closed when 3 moves in the space of only 7 years placed our family in a new community and an undeniably miraculous event took place producing even more change.
Even so, those nasty feminine problems disappeared. I felt certain that cypress essential oil played a role so in 2011 when a friend introduced me to a company promoting the oils, I was eager to learn, but she soon
moved leaving me to explore on my own.
Interest grew steadily. The more I learned, the more I wanted to know. Finally, when watching a documentary featuring a doTERRA rep I heard two significant things about the company: First, that doTERRA is committed to responsible capitalism and second, that they stick with their reps to make sure they get what they need to build their businesses. Soon after that, in 2021 I was privileged to meet Veronique Golloher and join her team with doTERRA.

Since then, I have found that what I heard on that documentary about doTERRA is completely true.
